A cruise with 400 passengers aboard various nationalities remains this Thursday in quarantine at Barcelona’s port after giving positive by coronavirus one of the people traveling on board, as reported by the department headed by Salvador Illa.
The cruise ship has requested entry in the port of Barcelona in the presence of people with mild symptoms compatible with covid-19, according to the Sanitary Maritime Declaration.
Given this request, and since cruise ships are prohibited from entering Spanish ports due to the declaration of the state of alarm, Foreign Health has sent a “exceptional” authorization to proceed to the disembarkation of this crew member.
Diagnostic test
This person, who has tested positive for covid-19 in the diagnostic test that has been performed, is currently on board the ship, isolated and with mild symptoms.
The rest of the travelers and crew, also on board the boat, does not present any type of symptoms and remains in quarantine.
