A Coruña-Vigo train: Renfe recovers two new connections between A Coruña and Vigo | Radio Coruña

Renfe recovers today two new connections between Vigo and A Coruña within the process of recovering services after the Covid-19 crisis. It intends to progressively resume the frequencies, until it reaches 18 o’clock, although this section had 20 services before the pandemic.

Thus, a new train will depart from A Coruña at 1:45 p.m. in the direction of the Vigo-Urzáiz terminal, where it will arrive at 3:14 p.m. In addition, it will serve as a link in Santiago de Compostela with the Alvia that leaves Madrid at 9.28 am and ends its journey at A Coruña station at 2.40 pm. Thus, according to Renfe, service will be provided to customers bound for Vilagarcía de Arousa, Pontevedra and Vigo-Urzáiz.

Another new train will circulate daily between the Vigo-Urzáiz station, from which it will depart at 9:35 p.m., and A Coruña, where it will end its journey at 11:07 p.m.

The railway unions have been very critical of the “cuts” of services by Renfe. They accuse the company of taking advantage of the pandemic to reduce activity in Galicia and give as an example the two frequencies that will be lost in the Atlantic corridor, one of the most used in Spain.
