The Xunta de Galicia today has opened access to Maternal Infant car park from As Xubias de Abaixo. However, the works to improve the pavements and roads of the hospital continue to advance.
The Xunta has put into service in this environment 23 parking spaces, one of them for people with reduced mobility, available to hospital staff and users. The adaptation of spaces has allowed us to get 53 places on the side road. In addition, the intervention will be completed with the renewal of the signage.
The actions, with an investment of 195.000 euros, are part of a larger contract that includes the improvement in accesses in other public hospitals in the province, such as those in Santiago, Ferrol, Cee and Barbanza, with a global budget of 1 million euros.
The project aims to promote mobility in the surroundings of this hospital center, offering a more comfortable and safe mobility, both for patients and for the health personnel who visit the hospital facilities every day.
