The commercial court number 1 of A Coruña has named a bankruptcy administrator who will be in charge of the management of the company Isidro 1952, the old Isidro de la Cal. This was stated by the works committee at the meeting held this morning to analyze the dismissal file promoted by the company and which, for the moment, remains active.
The works council has asked the company to freeze the file, waiting for the bankruptcy administrator to take possession because it will be the one that has the last word on the economic and labor decisions that are adopted. The workers have been unpaid since November, when they received half the salary.

The Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Industry, Francisco Conde, guarantees that the Xunta will work to “identify possible investors” and “give viability” to Isidro 1952, the former Isidro de la Cal.
In response to a question from the BNG in the plenary session of the Galician Parliament, Conde explained that there is a “fluid dialogue” with workers, although he acknowledges a situation of “difficulty” in the company “.
In addition, he has reproached the BNG that the bipartite government granted “practically 90% of those 23 million euros” that were granted by the Xunta to Isidro da Cal -of which Isidro was born in 1952-, with “10 million granted in functions. “
Montse Prado (BNG) has criticized the minister for going back to the bipartisan government and not assuming “responsibilities” for the situation of a company in “serious difficulties”.
Protest
Workers of the fishing company have made a protest in the afternoon of this Wednesday before the Galician Parliament during the debate on this question.
Speaking to Europa Press, the president of the works council, Olga Rodríguez (CIG), explained that the contest has already been presented, waiting for a commercial judge in A Coruña to choose an administrator.
The management has informed them that, for now, “nothing is known” that there is a possible buyer, after the sale operation announced a few days ago was suspended.
Meanwhile, the workers demand that the company withdraw the ERE under the current conditions – which will mean the dismissal of 136 of the 225 workers – and that an ERTE be launched, that “at least people go unemployed.”
In addition, the template has not been paid since mid-November, while requiring the involvement of the Xunta for the sale of the company.
In this way, they demand solutions that guarantee the viability of the six Isidro 1952 work centers. This is, specifically, the frozen, deep-frozen and seafood manufacturing factory in the Espírito Santo estate, in Cambre; trout farms Carballo, Baio and Louro; Lorbé’s turbot farm, in Oleiros, and the sea bream hatchery of Valdoviño.
