A new meeting of the Temporary Commission is planned for today to verify facts and circumstances related to the activities of the group around Martin Bojanov-Notary.

Acting Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov will be heard regarding data and information about influence groups in the prosecutor’s office and measures taken by the management. The MPs will listen to both former chief prosecutors Ivan Geshev and Sotir Tsatsarov.

At the last meeting, Sarafov and Tsatsarov refused to appear, and Ivan Geshev was abroad. Three lawyers will also be heard at the hearing.

The Minister of Internal Affairs Kalin Stoyanov was already heard in the committee. Then the meeting was closed so that the minister could answer the deputies whether Bojanov was an associate of the Ministry of the Interior.

“Whether or not a person was a collaborator, regardless of whether it was Martin Bojanov or anyone else, this is a state secret. “Whether a person is a collaborator or not – this in no way gives him protection against criminal prosecution,” said Minister Stoyanov.

Martin Bojanov-Notarius was killed on January 31 in front of his home in the Gorna Banya district.
