The structure of the hybrid system includes a 1.5-liter “naturally aspirated” petrol engine with a power of 110 horsepower and a 176 horsepower electric motor mounted on the front axle. The internal combustion engine recharges the battery, but during acceleration both units work together and, at high speed, the gasoline engine becomes the main one.
In China, the model is sold under the name Skyworth HT-i and is available with two batteries to choose from: a capacity of 21.7 or 32.8 kilowatt hours. With pure electricity, the crossover travels up to 200 kilometers and the total range reaches 1267 kilometers.
In a conversation with Motor, a Skywell representative said the HT-i is slated for the Russian market, although the company has not yet begun its certification. The representative office expects to receive vehicle type approval for this model by the summer. Prices will be announced closer to launch and will be higher than in China, where they ask 146.8-242.8 million yuan (1.2-2 million rubles at current exchange rates) for a hybrid.
