The S-Class is the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz brand, which competes with models such as the BMW 7 Series or the Audi A8. However, those who want the absolute top of the offer will reach for the Maybach S model, which, in addition to state-of-the-art technology, perfect workmanship and the V12 engine, also offers a higher social position, which already competes more with brands such as Rolls-Royce or Bentley.
Although the smaller Mercedes-Benz E-Class borrows a number of things from the larger and more luxurious esca, including design inspiration and certain technical and technological solutions, it does not offer V12 engines or the Maybach version. At least officially.

An interesting offer has appeared on the Chinese online marketplace, which tries to take advantage of even this small gap in the offer of the three-pointed brand. The company called Carbest offers a special bodykit here, which will help transform the classic Mercedes E-Class into Mercedes-Maybach.
The package, which will cost $ 1,100 (approximately CZK 24,200), includes new bumpers, a new radiator grille, a new diffuser, new exhaust tailpipes and rich chrome decors. However, the kit is not completely complete.

Customers who want to achieve the almost perfect illusion of the Mercedes-Maybach will have to get still resting wheel rims and should not underestimate the two-tone body paint. Only the cab and power unit will remain the original.
The Bodykit is only available for the older Mercedes-Benz E-Class, manufactured between 2016 and 2020, and looking at the photos, we have to say that it looks surprisingly good. The less knowledgeable public could so easily succumb to the impression that it is indeed Maybach. Moreover, even the price tag is not as extreme as we are used to with similarly crazy sets. However, the question arises as to how good the Chinese kit of the “pipe” Maybach is.
