A batch of 119,340 doses of Pfizer coronavirus vaccines arrived in Uruguay

On the afternoon of this Saturday, 119,340 Pfizer vaccines arrived via Lufthansa Cargo to our country.

These doses are in addition to the 50,400 that came from AstraZeneca, which come through the Covax mechanism of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

The Secretary of the Presidency, Álvaro Delgado, had reported that Pfizer shipments were to increase from 80,000 to around 120,000.

This Friday in Fray Bentos, Río Negro, Delgado said that 550,000 additional doses of Sinovac will arrive on May 28, which will allow giving the day and time to those under 31 who are waiting to be vaccinated.

“Today I am in a position after having talked all day with the laboratory to tell them that not only is that confirmed, but also that those five shipments are going to be made more quickly: not only on the dates that were agreed, but they are going to anticipate, so as soon as possible they have half a million vaccines, “said Delgado.
