Mortada Mansour, President of Zamalek, denied what was reported in the past hours regarding the waxing of the club’s treasury, indicating that there is no validity of a deficit of 30 million pounds.
Murtada said, in a telephone statement to the “Zamalek” channel in the early hours of Tuesday morning: “I reassure the club members, the rumors about the club’s treasury candling are not true.”
He added, “There is an inspection committee from the Ministry of Sports for clubs and the Olympic Committee, and it has been granted the judicial seizure.”
He continued: “The treasury was developed by the members, and there is no mistake in the reports of the inspection committees on Zamalek, and whoever makes a mistake will be held accountable, but we have no mistake.”
He explained, “We are living through a bad period full of lack of literature, during which some spread rumors to destabilize the club.”
The president of Zamalek concluded by saying, “Is it reasonable that there is a budget deficit of 30 million pounds? You have donated 18 million pounds this year.”
