A 24-year-old Rotterdammer was arrested on Tuesday for fraud with corona tests. The employee of the national corona number told dozens of people who called for an appointment that they had to pay before they could take a test, RTL News reports. The test is free. How much he asked for it is not known.

The GGD thinks that about 85 people have been cheated by the Rotterdammer. It is unclear whether they also come from the Rijnmond region. “It’s awful,” says a spokesman for the GGD. “So many people do their job well and then there is one who doesn’t.”
The GGD cannot say how the Rotterdammer ran into the lamp in connection with the investigation. He was arrested Tuesday, immediately after the fraud came to light. It is not known how much money he stole from the fraud.
