51 people lost their lives in collapsing homes, 14 drowned, the ministry of humanitarian operations and disaster management said on Tuesday.
At least ten people have lost their lives in Niamey, where rains have caused the Niger River to cross its banks.
Niger is one of the driest countries in the world, and long periods of drought are often severe.
However, in recent years, months of rainy seasons have become increasingly devastating.
Last year, 57 people lost their lives in the floods and 226,000 lost their homes.
