This year, the most fans of video games or ‘gamers’ will be able to attend Gamescom 2020 without having to travel, like other years, to Germany.
And it is that, due to the country’s restrictions in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, the largest event of video game of Europe will not be able to be face-to-face and this will make it the most accessible of those that have been carried out, so far. It will only be enough to have a good Internet connection to be able to follow the live broadcasts of the event; yes, in English.
The digital edition of Gamescom 2020 will be held from August 27 to 30, and it will be during the opening day when the official opening of the event takes place, with the long-awaited Opening Night Live.
The digital ‘opening’, except for last minute changes, will begin at 8:00 p.m. (peninsular time) and will have the journalist and producer of the event, Geoff Keighley, as presenter. This two-hour space, in which you can discover news and more than 20 games, marks the beginning of the Gamescom 2020 fair and, in turn, the closing of the Summer Game Fest.

Throughout the three days that the mega-event of the video game industry lasts, everyone of the ‘gamers‘will revolve around Gamescom 2020, and the announcements and world premieres that will be produced, live, at this online conference.
