Dentist gives injured eagle-owl new beak: “I never had an owl as a patient”

“My neighbor Marcel from the Wild Animals in Nood shelter in Kapellen had a very strange question for me,” says dentist Arnout Dierick on Radio 2 Antwerp. “A female eagle owl had been brought into their sanctuary with a broken beak. Marcel asked me if I, as a dentist, could help the owl and fix its mouth. That was a first for me, but as a big animal lover I didn’t say no.”
