Now that the creators of the animated series have left, they no longer believe in it at all.
Michael Dante DiMartino in Bryan Konietzko left the Netflix remake of their animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. And although Netflix stated in a statement that it has every confidence in the creative team, fans do not.
It’s a pretty sensitive setback for Netflix. The live-action adaptation of the animated series was announced two years ago. In the meantime, Netflix put the series on its streaming service and it still proved immensely popular. The fact that the remake was going to come gave hope, as DiMartino and Konietzko were involved in the project.

Previous failure
The fact that they have now left the project is quite a cause for concern for fans. They can all too well remember the disastrous film by M. Night Shyamalan, in which almost nothing came out well.

On social media fans let it be known that they have already lost all confidence in the film. Some people even go so far as to ask Netflix to stop the project without the original creators.
After that shit movie adaptation, I don’t trust anyone else with the story of Avatar The Last Airbender if it’s not the creators themselves. So kindly abort the mission @netflix

I’ve lost absolutely all interest in The Last Airbender live action series. Not subjecting myself to that nonsense. Nickelodeon must not have learned yet. The ever potential filled Avatar Universe is failed again.

Let me get this straight. Netflix set out to make a live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender adaptation nobody asked for.
And now it lost the original creators?
Give it up, Netflix. You won’t succeed with this project. You’ll only make fans angry. https://t.co/W6ausUvB38
