Implenia lands 108 million francs in contracts in Germany

Construction specialist Implenia won several contracts in Germany in July, totaling 100 million euros (108 million francs).

The group explains these orders by “the excellent cooperation” with the various customers, according to a statement released Tuesday.

Implenia will demonstrate diversity in Germany, as it will build offices at the former Opel site in Bochum, in the Dortmund region, with a total area of 65,000 square meters. Work will begin next fall.

The Zurich giant will also be in charge of the construction of a 6,500 square meter leisure complex in the Ruhr area, with work expected to be completed in February 2022.

Implenia also won the construction of an apartment complex in Manheim and the construction of an additional building for a hotel chain in Munich.

The group believes that it is thanks to its ‘design-and-build’ strategy that such contracts have been secured. Implenia works upstream as a consultant in technical implementation and construction optimization with its client, which it believes enables a more effective partnership during construction, the statement said.

At the close, the title gained 1.7% to 40.88 francs in an SPI market up 0.67%.
