It was Julien Lacroix’s turn to lose his nominations for the Gemini Awards because of denunciations.

The comedian’s name no longer appears among the finalists at the prestigious gala, reports The sun.
This decision comes nearly two weeks after the publication of an article in the Duty in which nine women blame the comic stand-up for sexual misconduct and assault.
In a note sent to Journal, the Academy explains that it “does not tolerate any form of violence, harassment, intimidation, or discrimination on the part of its members, its finalists, laureates or prize-winners”.
“Faced with recent statements concerning Julien Lacroix and the messages published by the latter, we have taken the decision to withdraw his four nominations for the 35th Gemini Awards: his nomination in the category of interpretation in digital media has been withdrawn; and his name is removed from the three television text and animation categories for which he was a co-finalist. The nominations for its partners are however maintained. “
Julien Lacroix is not the only artist to have lost his Gemini nominations this summer. Last month, Maripier Morin was excluded from the Artis and Gémeaux galas after she admitted to having adopted “reprehensible behavior” towards Safia Nolin. The singer had accused her of sexual harassment on Instagram.
