Before the crisis, 75 percent of seniors had planned for the coming summer vacation, but now only 36 percent of them say they are going on vacation or going on a day out this summer.
Afraid of contamination
This is reported by the ANBO elderly organization after a survey of nearly 3000 elderly people. 45 percent of all elderly people are afraid of becoming infected with the virus in the summer on holiday or during days out. On the other hand, 25 percent of the participants say they are not afraid of this.

Extra measures
Six out of ten older people take measures for their holiday or day (s) away. For example, they put on a mouth mask or take disinfectants with them. Many people also indicate that, in view of the rule of a meter and a half away, they avoid busy places such as amusement parks.
In addition, 63 percent indicate that they have studied what happens when they become infected with the virus while on holiday.
