The police cleared the houses near the Boxtel station, because the magnet fisherman had caught an explosive earlier this week. Presumably it is a hand grenade from the Second World War.
According to local residents, the street was blocked and a number of people were on the street.

Employees of the Explosives Ordnance Disposal Service (EOD) have meanwhile taken the grenade to detonate it elsewhere. The vacated houses were released again around 9:15 pm, the residents were able to return to their home.
The police were only informed of the explosive today, the Brabants Dagblad writes. An evacuation action was then immediately started.
