Thionville Lusitanos Celebrate Exceptional Season with Promotions to N3 and R1

We had to win and hope for a draw or a defeat for Val de l’Orne at Amanvillers to celebrate the title and the promotion to Regional 1. Everything went well for Thionville Lusitanos this Sunday. On the pitch, Joris Di Gregorio’s men did the job with style (6-1) against Rosselange / Vitry, who came to eleven and with a field player in his goal.

Nicolas Caloiero (4-1, 72^e) and defender Matteo Steiger (6-1, 89^e), with a great breakthrough, added a little more thickness to this big victory. In the stands, we were obviously well aware of the result of Val de l’Orne in Amanvillers (0-0) and we did not hesitate to let the players know by shouting the good news very loudly. Thionville Lusitanos could celebrate the title and the climb before the last day of the championship.
