Train Sim World 2: Players expected at the station in early August – News

Dovetail announces Train Sim World 2 this evening, its new railway simulation, expected on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in early August.

Train Sim World 2 will enter the station August 6, 2020, and will take advantage of an updated SimuGraph engine for the occasion. German high speed will be there, as players will be able to experiment with the ICE, on the Köln Schnellfahrstrecke. Also, they will be able to take control of the CSX on Sand Patch Grade for the first time on console, and direct the operation of the London Underground (underground) on the Bakerloo Line.

Dovetail also announces that personalization will go even further than in the previous installments, since new tools will be made available to players, including the Livery Designer, which will create the locomotive of their dreams. On the engine side, grip will now be taken into account. So, depending on the weather, players will feel a difference in the behavior of their trains. Furthermore, information should gain clarity at all levels, which would allow improved access to the “outdoor camera” mode. This is not the only change regarding the visuals, since a 4K compatibility is expected on all platforms. Paul Jackson, the founder and CEO of Dovetail Games says:

Since I became a train enthusiast as a child, I have always wanted to see trains, be a passenger, and even drive them. Train Simulation is my way of doing it all. Every time we release a new title in the Train Sim saga, we make it more realistic. Train Sim World 2 is a huge step forward and I really hope all players enjoy it as much as I do.

To finish with good news, players who have Train Sim World will be able to retrieve their extensions and use them in Train Sim World 2, thanks to the Preserved Collection functionality.
