The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are once again in the pillory in the United Kingdom. And it is that the couple would not have given up any type of rent to continue using the house, located on the grounds of Windsor, after waiving its real obligations in the year 2020.
According to what was communicated by the British Royal House, the exit agreement included that they had to pay for the repairs to the house and pay rent for its use.
The dukes would have paid for the reform of the house, which had had a high cost for the public coffers to adapt it to their tastes, but this payment exempted them, prior agreement with Buckingham, from taking over the rent of the house after their departure from the crown.
A bill that would amount to 230,000 pounds per year, that is, 690,000 (almost 800,000 euros) in three years.
