Elite Taxi Barcelona resumes conversations with Transports regarding VTC legislation
The Elite Professional Association Taxi Barcelona resumed conversations with Transports on Thursday via telematic means.
Regarding the meeting held, Elite Taxi has claimed from the Departament de Territori i Sostenibilitat the points postponed in the previous meeting.
In this regard, the stickers that must be visible on the Transport Vehicles with Driver (VTC) in Catalonia, was one of the pending aspects, in addition to the autonomous community website, among other pending points.
They have also requested the Generalitat to promote the taxi service and aid, such as recovering some sanitary services, and the subsidy or aid for the installation of the protective screens against the coronavirus and the disinfection of vehicles.
As Todo Taxi has learned, the Generalitat will try to recover the control website that should be used in conjunction with promotion and adapt it to the legal framework of data protection, since it must comply with the ruling in this regard.
Likewise, the Generalitat is studying the possibility of implementing a reduced version in the payment of the quota of self-employed by modules for the sector.
With all this, «They will study – (transports) – quickly the possibility that vehicles with more seats, despite being reduced here within the Barcelona metropolitan area, (Prius, 508, etc.), be able to use the third row of passenger seats momentarily to be able to transport two people safely, soon we will have some news in this regard, “said Elite Taxi in a statement.
