Today, Sunday, Egyptian broadcaster and journalist Mufid Fawzy passed away after a battle with the disease.
Mustafa Bakri, a member of the Egyptian parliament, announced the death, writing on Twitter: “The death of the great journalist, Mufid Fawzy, after a journey of suffering with illness, while spending almost a month in a private hospital. May God have mercy on the dear deceased and inspire his family with patience and comfort”.
Interestingly, Fawzi had been suffering from a health problem for the past few days, which resulted in his transfer to an engineering hospital, where he suffered from severe fatigue, following which he entered intensive care.
Similarly, the late journalist suffered a broken joint in his right arm several months ago and was receiving treatment at his home, being cared for by his daughter, journalist Hanan Moufid Fawzi.
