In Rennes, two associations are launching a collection of Christmas gifts for Ukrainian children

They want to cheer up Christmas for Ukrainian children. Two Breton associations are launching a collection of donationsit is the Union of Ukrainians in Brittany and Solidarité Bretagne Ukraine, a Rennes association of which Ivanna Baron is president.

This Ukrainian, whose cousin is at the front, wants bring some happiness as Christmas approaches, comfort to these children trapped in the middle of the war for more than nine months:”We wanted to satisfy their wishes. These gifts are for one hundred children from an orphanage and another fifty who have lost their dads since the war began. They have made a gift list and the idea is to give them something from that list.“, explains Ivanna Barone.

An appeal to the generosity of the Bretons

For the children who have made lists, they know that they will have a present for Christmas. On the other hand, it is still a surprise for the hundred children of the orphanage :”They don’t know that Breton Santa Claus is preparing presents for them“.

All Christmas parcels will be shipped by the Solidarité Bretagne Ukraine association. A truck will carry four pallets of presents to the children.

To participate in the Christmas surprise for these Ukrainian children, you can deliver gifts on Wednesday 30 November and 7 December between 3.00pm and 6.30pm at the café at 14 rue Papus in Rennesas well as from 10:00 to 14:00 on Saturday 3 and 10 December, at 17 Avenue Bois Labbé, in Rennes.
