When KFC Uerdingen plays its third friendly at Rundweg on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., one person will definitely be missing: Mika Rudnik. The 19-year-old goalkeeper, who trained at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and is now coming from the third division club Viktoria Köln, is in hospital with blood poisoning. But now he’s out of danger. Coach Alexander Voigt reacted to the publication of the schedule with relief and anticipation. KFC has home advantage against Cronenberger SC on August 6th. “I’m glad we’re starting with a home game,” says the coach. “If the weather is good on Saturday evening, the stadium will be full and the atmosphere will be great. In the meantime, all transfer modalities have been clarified and it’s official: Kai Bastian Evers plays for KFC.
