From October 4th to 7th, 2022, DEinternational Servis Hizmetleri A.Ş. (AHK Turkey) on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) carried out a business initiation trip to Istanbul in Turkey on the subject of returnable bottle systems and the recycling of packaging.
It is part of the export initiative for environmental technologies and is carried out as part of the market development program for SMEs. The target group are mainly small and medium-sized German companies (SMEs).
There are good opportunities in the following areas in particular: recycling and material recovery (sorting, collection and recovery of packaging, plastic, metal, glass, paper, electronic scrap, etc.), returnable bottle systems, treatment of landfills (process flow and new technology solutions) and advice on waste treatment options.

The funded project is organized by the AHK Turkey on behalf of the Federal Ministry. The scope of the trip is the market development program of the BMWK for SMEs. If the trip cannot take place physically due to the corona pandemic, a virtual implementation is planned.

What are the costs?
Depending on the annual turnover and the number of employees, a personal contribution of between EUR 500 and EUR 1,000 (net) must be paid per company. Furthermore, travel, accommodation and subsistence costs are to be borne by the participants themselves.
