“The first time I saw Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at his best was in 2008, at the Australian Open. Especially when he destroyed Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals (6-2, 6-3, 6-2). He played really innovative tennis, he hit very hard and dictated the rhythm of each rally. Wow ! It was wild! He clearly contributed to creating “modern” tennis as it is played today. Even Roger Federer once confessed that Jo forced him to progress and become the player he has become.
