Madrid vs Chelsea: Casemiro Responds to Psywar Tuchel

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel assessing his team’s chance of qualifying for the semifinals Champions League already thin. But real Madrid reluctant to eat ‘nonsense’ the German manager.

Chelsea lost 3-1 to Real Madrid at home in the first leg of last week’s Champions League quarter-finals. The Blues must now win three goals at the Santiago Bernabeu if they want to lock up a place in the top four.

Seeing recent yo-yo results, Tuchel doubts Chelsea have a chance to do that. Mason Mount et al had just massacred Southampton 6-0, but previously Madrid silenced and brushed 1-4 by Brentford.

“We will come and give everything, because it is worth trying. Then we will see how the situation, hopefully we can grow our belief as the game goes on and can make our dreams come true,” said Tuchel, quoted by the BBC.

“But realistically, we have to work very hard and perform at our best.”

Tuchel is known to have sounded resigned to his team’s chances in the Champions League since last week. Even so, casemiro Can’t believe Chelsea has given up. The Madrid midfielder thinks Tuchel is playing with words or a war of nerves.

“We have to come out with the awareness that we have to struggle to win despite performing well for 90 minutes (in the first leg in London). We can’t believe anything, especially what comes out of Tuchel’s mouth,” Casemiro said, quoted by The Guardian.

“We have to ask the fans to support us. They are the champions, in control, we respect them. We and the fans have to give everything because the second leg will be very, very difficult,” explained the Brazilian.
