A garbage truck burned down in Baden-Württemberg and caused traffic delays.
A garbage truck caught fire in the Rhein-Neckar district and caused delays in rush-hour traffic.
The garbage truck caught fire on a country road on Tuesday morning, was driven into a farm parking lot and burned out completely.
The police estimated the damage at tens of thousands of euros. The cause was probably a technical defect.
Because the country road was completely closed for around two hours, there were traffic delays as far as downtown Heidelberg. Freezing extinguishing water made it difficult to use. /dpa
