Ludwigshafen (dpa) – The chemical company BASF postpones its general meeting. The Dax company justified this on Tuesday with the health risks from the spread of the new corona virus. The meeting was to take place in Mannheim, but the state government of Baden-Württemberg has banned events with more than 100 participants until June 15.
Because of the postponement, BASF could not pay the dividend as planned on May 6, the company emphasized. A new date has not yet been set. BASF plans to hold the shareholders’ meeting until June 30, as required by law.
