“A credible interlocutor”
Among the good points awarded to France, the report highlights the establishment of “specialized prosecution services (PNF) and investigation offices (OCLCIFF)” as well as the overhaul of its legislative framework with the Sapin II law.
France has today become “a credible interlocutor” in the fight against foreign bribery, according to the OECD. The creation of the AFA, the strengthening of the protective legal framework for whistleblowers, the significant increase in fines for natural and legal persons, and the introduction of the CJIP have “brought about a paradigm shift”.
