A difficult choice. “It was a hectic week, in which I got the unique opportunity to make a choice between the two top teams in Dutch skating,” said Verbij. “Reggeborgh and Van Velde feel like my home. I find it very difficult to leave the staff, team and sponsor.”
“But I am at an important point in my career and would like to learn and win even more. I therefore think that it is the best choice for my personal and sporting development to make the move just now, two years before the games.”
