CAMBRIA, California, USA (AP) – A pair of earthquakes rocked the central California coast Monday afternoon.
The first quake, of magnitude 4.7, occurred at 4:42 p.m. (local time), with an epicenter about 17.7 kilometers (11 miles) northwest of San Simeon, according to the United States Geological Survey.
Two minutes later, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the same area, which is sparsely populated.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
