NEW YORK. Slovak hockey defender Zdeno Chara will earn 750 thousand US dollars in the 2021/2022 season.
Another 750,000 can be earned on performance bonuses.
The New York Islanders club published the details of the contract with the Slovak veteran almost a month after his engagement.
US striker Zach Paris has the same financial terms as a contract with the Islanders.
Chara negotiated a one-year contract with the Islanders in September, returning to the club that drafted it in 1996.
