The Czech Nightingale 21 will return to television screens after four years. People will be able to vote in the categories Singer, Singer, Band and Hip Hop & Rap. Twenty-one names in each category are already published in the survey. There are also Ben Cristovao, Daniel Landa, Ewa Farna, the Kabát group or Butcher. Already on November 19, viewers will find out who are the most popular performers of the contemporary Czech music scene as part of a live broadcast on Nova TV.

After a four-year hiatus, the poll returns to television screens Czech Nightingale 21, in which viewers will be able to vote for winners in four categories: Singer, Singer, Band and Hip Hop & Rap. Already on November 19, viewers will find out who are the most popular performers of the contemporary Czech music scene as part of a live broadcast on Nova TV.
“With only one month left until the end of the voting, we have decided to reveal an alphabetical list of twenty-one performers who have so far topped their categories. According to the results of the vote so far, it is very likely that one of the winners will be one of them,”Says survey director Jakub Horák. But in the end, completely different names may also appear there. Music fans can vote until midnight on November 5, on the web www.ceskyslavik.cz.
The most popular artists
He is currently one of the most popular singers maybe Václav Noid Bárta, Jan Bendig, I’m Cristovao, Michal David, Vojtech Dyk, Mikolas Josef, Daniel Landa, Leoš Mareš or Xindl X. Among the singers, for example Lucie Bílá, Monika Bagárová, Ewa Farna, Olga Lounová, Hana Zagorová or Lucie Vondráčková. It is certain that Master Karel Gott will not win the survey this time. The condition for participation in the survey is that the performer is active on the Czech music scene last year. David Stypka would meet this condition in memoriam.
Between the bands are needed Čechomor, Wild Bill, Jacket, Lucie or Olympic. The last category is Hip Hop and Rap. Among the favorites are, for example DJ Wich, EktorRaego Sharlota or Yzomandias.
How does voting work?
Voting takes place using the D21 method, the author of which is the president of the poll Český slavík 21 – mathematician and social reformer Karel Janeček. “The principle of D21 voting is that each voter has more votes. Specifically, in Český slavík 21, voters can choose up to five performers to whom they want to vote. He may or may not use them all. For the unification of society, it is important in the D21 system that the voter can express his preferences with the same force. Instead of just a word, the voter can say the whole sentence thanks to the possibility to choose up to five favorites, ”adds Janeček.
After the main voting, from November 6, those interested can vote in the Discovery of the Year category. PIn this category, voters will choose from pre-nominees. Votes for these musical novices can be sent until the middle of the gala evening, which will take place on November 19 at the Karlín Music Theater and will be broadcast live on Nova TV. The gala evening will be directed by Pepe Majeský, in the evening by moderators Aleš Háma and Ondřej Sokol.
