More than 16,000 corona vaccinations in just one day: That was the record in Hamburg at the beginning of July. These numbers have declined significantly since then, but have remained at a stable level for weeks.
Up to 2,500 people still get their first vaccination every day in Hamburg: in doctor’s offices, in hospitals or in town houses, in churches or mosques. In retrospect, it hardly matters that the vaccination center in the exhibition halls was closed at the end of August: The number of vaccinations has not plummeted as a result.
Elbphilharmonie, bars and cold drinks
This is probably due to the fact that the city relies heavily on mobile vaccination on site. The offers in the shopping centers are particularly well received. And this week there are other high-profile campaigns on the agenda: For example, on Monday in the Elbphilharmonie, where you can pick up your injection with Biontech or Johnson & Johnson between 2 and 10 p.m. and use the stage to relax. Registration is neither possible nor necessary.

Celebrities are also there
On Wednesday, the President of the Medical Association, Pedram Emami, will personally vaccinate St. Pauli. And Social Senator Melanie Leonhard (SPD) offers an alcohol-free cold drink in an Irish pub in Harburg after the vaccination. On Friday, 546 people came to the second vaccination campaign in the Volksparkstadion. An overview of all current vaccination offers in the city is available on the website www.hamburg.de/corona-impfstationen.

Mobile vaccination should continue until the end of the year
The mobile vaccination should continue until at least the end of the year, said authority spokesman Martin Helfrich. In Hamburg, around 82 percent of people aged 12 and over have now been vaccinated at least once.
