Indosat Ooredoo and Hutchison 3 Indonesia have officially merged with a new name Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison. So, as consumers who use Indosat and Tri, what will happen in the future?

As reported, the corporate action of Indonesian telecommunications players became a byword after Indosat Ooredoo and Hutchison 3 Indonesia (H3I/Tri) merged. The merger of these two entities is claimed to be the largest in Asia.

The shareholders of the two companies, Ooredoo and and CK Hutchison Holdings Limited announced the merger of their subsidiaries in Indonesia. The Merger of Indosat and Tri transactions reached USD 6 billion or equivalent to Rp 85 trillion.

Indosat Ooredoo Chief Operating Officer Vikram Sinha revealed that at this time, it is certain that there will be no significant impact on customer service due to the merger. Indosat and Tri is also because it puts the customer first. Vikram said the customer service experience was a priority.

“It’s very important that we want to focus right on the customer experience and also build efficiencies,” said Vikram.

With this merger, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison will leverage the experience and expertise of the Ooredoo Group and CK Hutchison in terms of networks, technology, products and services. They will also leverage the multinational operations of the Ooredoo Group and CK Hutchison across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia Pacific.

Internet package fate

The second question that consumers have recently asked is how about the internet packages from Indosat Ooredoo and Hutchison Tri? Do you continue with each package or is there a new and combined package?

Of course, users of the services of the two companies also pay attention to the price of internet packages that will be offered later. Well, Deputy President Director of Tri Indonesia, M Danny Buldansyah, revealed that the packages and services have not changed.

“The market will remain competitive, service rates will continue to follow the competition in the market. What is certain is that Tri products will not change. They will even enjoy better quality, wider reach, and higher speed,” Danny said to detikINET.

The same was conveyed by the Chief Operating Officer Indosat Ooredoo Vikram Sinha that there are currently no changes to services and products. Vikram said the customer service experience was a priority.

“I said the number one priority is our customers, you know, if our customers are happy they will be all right,” he said.
