Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has shared positive research results of a drug for preventing corona symptoms in people who do not respond well to vaccines.
After treatment with so-called ‘long-acting antibodies’, people are 77 percent less likely to develop symptoms after a corona infection, according to AstraZeneca.
According to the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), corona vaccines do not work well for some people because of problems with their immune system. They are therefore not well protected against the virus after vaccination.
The treatment developed by AstraZeneca is administered preventively. The combination of two different types of antibodies can recognize and neutralize the virus when it enters the body. That way you don’t get sick.
