Opposition is misleading; CPM Secretariat urges govt to hold talks with candidates CPM | PSC

Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM secretariat has directed the government to hold discussions with the PSC candidates who are on strike in front of the secretariat. It was suggested at the meeting that the opposition should stop using the job struggle of the candidates for political purposes. Although the government has taken a favorable stance towards getting jobs for the youth, the Opposition is deliberately trying to create misunderstanding. Part of this is that the strike in front of the Secretariat turned violent.

The secretariat also directed that the candidates should be made aware of the steps taken by the government. The government’s position was that job seekers should take the initiative for the discussion. The Chief Minister said in a press conference that it was up to those who should lead the strike to end it. Minister EP Jayarajan said the government was open to discussion. He said he would look into any complaint.

Candidates’ organizations said the CPM’s stance was welcome. Candidates met with the governor on Friday and submitted a petition. Sobha Surendran was also with the candidates. On the 25th day of the strike, job seekers staged various protests. Those on the CPO rank list were selling fish in front of the secretariat. UDF convener MM Hasan visited the candidates.
