Despite the drop in the number of new covid-19 cases in Europe, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control remains concerned.
Because of the new variants of coronavirus, the European center increased the risk of transmission from high to very high.
It is too early to talk about easing restrictive measures that must be maintained or even aggravated.
111 more deaths and 1,502 new cases of covid-19 in Portugal
This Tuesday Portugal records 111 more deaths and 1,502 new cases of covid-19, according to the daily balance sheet of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal has accounted for a total of 15,522 deaths and 788,561 contagions due to the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, with 95,320 cases being active this Tuesday, minus 7,474 in relation to Monday.
As for the hospital admissions, the DGS epidemiological bulletin reveals that 4,482 people are admitted to the infirmary, 350 less than the previous day, and 752 in intensive care, minus 32 compared to yesterday.
