PHOENIX- A man was arrested after police reports reportedly shot an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer Friday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight in the 27th Avenue area, north of McDowell Road.
A DPS officer was making a traffic stop when someone unrelated to the incident shot at him from across the street. That person has been arrested.
Phoenix police and DPS arrived at the scene and detained the shooter but did not reveal identities.
