Appointments or plans are not automatically set in stone. I also had to learn to accept this fact. So a friend and I agreed to have brunch at noon. At the agreed time, however, I received a text message that she had just woken up. Or when we had plans for a Saturday, what we are going to do, a message came in the morning that she had got a ticket for a festival and was going there. A Swiss told me that you can’t or shouldn’t plan too big in New York – most of the time you decide spontaneously what to do or not to do today.
