Worldstream has committed itself as main sponsor to the skating team of Jutta Leerdam and Koen Verweij on Thursday up to and including the Winter Olympics of 2022. The IT company relieves NXTGEN as its namesake.
Worldstream already joined the team as a sponsor in August and is now promoting to namesake. “We have a fantastic partner in Worldstream who fortunately appears to be doing well commercially during this time of corona and who has also thought and helped extra”, says Verweij (30).
“We are very grateful to Worldstream for this. Now is the time to build a successful future together.”
The 21-year-old Leerdam is also happy with the new main sponsor. “It is so great that a company like Worldstream is going for it 100 percent and is embarking on this adventure with us to the Olympic Games 2022. Together we go for nothing less than the profit.”
NXTGEN was founded last spring, after Verweij and Leerdam decided to leave Team Reggeborgh. The team of coach Kosta Poltavets has expanded from six to ten skaters and now officially an A-team.
