In Suriname, a 9th person tested positive for the coronavirus. That was just announced at the daily COVID-19 press conference by the director of the Public Health Agency (BOG) Ms Bromet.
This person was not quarantined, but was in contact with one of the individuals who previously tested positive for the coronavirus. The contacts of this 9th person are traced according to protocol and placed in quarantine.
It is not yet clear who this 9th person is. It is not a returnee. The patient is in a stable state, says Bromet this afternoon.
During the press conference it was also stated that rumors about a possible 10th corona patient in Suriname are not true.
