VIVA -Names planet has been studied since sitting in elementary school (SD). There are currently eight planets in the vortex of the solar system. The solar system consists of Sun as the center and the planets that move around it. There are also satellites, asteroids, comets, and meteors. These celestial bodies occupy a space called the universe. The universe is very wide. Nature does not happen by itself, but through a long process.

Planets are part of the members of the solar system with certain characteristics. A planet that makes a complete orbit of the sun in one revolution is called a revolution. Meanwhile, the time it takes the planet in one revolution is called the period of revolution or one planetary year. Not only a revolution, the planet orbits or rotates on its axis which is called rotation. The planet takes one rotation, which is known as the period of rotation.

In the Solar System, it is divided into two groups of planets, namely the inner planets, which include the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. While the outer planets consist of the planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The characteristics of the planets that are in two groups of inner planets and outer planets are as follows. The characteristics of the inner planet are:

  • Made of stone and metal
  • Has a solid surface
  • Don’t have a ring
  • Has few satellites

Then, the characteristics of the outer planets are as follows:

  • Formed from hydrogen and helium
  • It has a ring and a thick atmosphere
