8.5 percent more money – agreement on the new internal wage agreement at Volkswagen

On this the union IG Metall and the company management agreed yesterday evening after twelve hours of negotiations, as announced by both sides this morning in Hanover. After that, starting next June, there will initially be 5.2 percent more wages and in May 2024 another 3.3 percent. The new internal collective agreement has a duration of 24 months and also includes an inflation allowance for a total of 3,000 euros, to be paid in two stages.
