Flames broke out in the evening in this apartment located on the 1st floor of a small building which has 4, located avenue de Verdun. When the Var firefighters arrived on site, the sole occupant, a 78-year-old man, was already in a state of absolute emergency. He died a little later. The fire completely destroyed the apartment, the neighboring dwellings were not affected.
A total of 20 firefighters from the Var with two fire-fighting machines, two aerial ladders, an ambulance, a command post and three command vehicles.
