7,682 new confirmed corona infections were reported to the RIVM until 10:00 this morning. That is 413 more than yesterday, but an important risk that the number of positive corona tests on a weekly basis will no longer increase. Last week, an average of 7,225 positive tests were registered per day, compared to 7,221 on average in the seven days thereafter.

The Ministry of Health estimates 2.7 million injections in the fight against the corona virus. This concerns the number of injections, not the number of vaccinees. The number of vaccinated is currently behind schedule.
2348 corona patients in hospital
Occupancy increased in hospitals. There are now 2348 people with corona in hospital (yesterday: 2330), of whom 734 in the ICU (yesterday: 705), reports the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution.
31 deceased covid patients were reported to the RIVM. Yesterday there were 17. In the past seven days, RIVM registered an average of 23 deaths per day, against 27 deaths per day a week earlier.
How the number of deaths develop depends in part on the number of infections in nursing homes. There are now 196 nursing homes where at least one corona infection has been diagnosed in the past two weeks. A week ago there were 209.
