The works also include “the requalification of the entire physical area of the service”, such as “wards, isolation room and the two delivery rooms”.

With regard to the acquisition of new equipment, ULS Nordeste highlights “a new cardiotocography (CTG) monitoring center and new ultrasound machines for carrying out ultrasounds in the 1st and 2nd trimester of pregnancy”.

“As a result of this intervention, covering an area of 485 square meters, the quality, safety and comfort of the obstetrics service will be clearly reinforced”, concludes ULS Nordeste.

At a time when information is more important than ever, support regional and outreach journalism. Access to most VTM news is (still) free, but it is not free, journalism costs money and requires investment. This contribution is a way of directly supporting A Voz de Trás-os-Montes and its journalists. Our counterpart is independent and proximity journalism, but not only. It’s continuing to report despite all the confinement contingencies, without stopping for a single day.
