63 new deaths reported and 5,877 deaths from coronavirus in Argentina

The Ministry of Health reported 63 new deaths from coronavirus in the country this morning, bringing the death toll to 5,877 since last March, with a mortality rate of 128 people per million inhabitants and a fatality rate of 1.9 % on confirmed cases.

The official report also indicated that 4,557 were positive for Covid-19 that were reported yesterday in Argentina and 299,126 the total number of infected so far, with an incidence of 659 cases per 100,000.

Córdoba

In Córdoba there are 4,752 infected and 82 dead since the pandemic began. On Monday, 169 cases and one death were registered.

National cases

  • The total number of confirmed cases in Argentina is 299,126 (49.1% women and 50.9% men). 1,157 (0.4%) are imported, 76,226 (25.5%) are close contacts of confirmed cases, 180,483 (60.3%) are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation.
  • Since the last report issued, 63 new deaths have been registered. 40 men, 29 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 7 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 1 resident in the province of Chaco; 2 residents in the province of Jujuy; 1 resident in the province of Neuquén; and 23 women; 15 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 5 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 1 resident in the province of Formosa; 1 resident in the province of Salta; and 1 resident in the province of Jujuy. At the moment the number of deceased people is 5,877.
  • To date, the total number of registrations is 223,531 people.
  • Yesterday 13,483 new samples were taken and since the beginning of the outbreak 994,942 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out, which is equivalent to 21,926.2 samples per million inhabitants.
  • The number of cases discarded until yesterday is 558,315 (by laboratory and by clinical / epidemiological criteria).
  • Yesterday 4,557 new cases were confirmed.
